LMD Products, LLC Launches Frozen WoofysT - an All Natural and Organic Frozen Treat for Dogs Event Proceeds Benefit Susquehanna Service Dogs
Harrisburg, PA June 11, 2008 - LMD Products, LLC today announced the launch of their premier product - Frozen WoofysT, an all natural, organic frozen treat for dogs. LMD Products is located in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania and Frozen WoofysT is produced here in Central Pennsylvania. A ribbon cutting and product launch party was held at Doc Holliday's, owned by the Keares Restaurant Group, exclusive restaurant distributors of Frozen WoofysT in central PA. All proceeds from the product launch event benefited Susquehanna Service Dogs
"For the first time ever, when we give someone a doggie bag, the contents are actually for the dog," said Nick Keares of the Keares Restaurant Group. "We're very excited to be partnered with LMD Products, LLC and to support the start of a new business enterprise here in Central Pennsylvania."
Linda and Mike Drei, owners of LMD Products, LLC, began developing their natural and organic treat for dogs following the dog food scare in 2007. They became very concerned for the safety of their own dogs and began giving them fresh fruit as a treat. When they combined the fresh fruit with the ice cubes their dogs loved, Frozen WoofysT was born. Frozen WoofysT are packaged in biodegradable/corn plastic containers. The corn plastic containers contain no petroleum products and all residual wasted bio-composts into the environment.
The initial flavors of Frozen WoofysT will be Barkin Berry and Banana Rama Ding Dog. More flavors will be added over time.
"Like most dog owners, we want to make sure our dogs are getting the best and healthiest products available," said Linda Drei of LMD Products, "now, not only are we sure of that, we can share it with others in Central Pennsylvania and throughout the northeast."
"We're especially pleased, with the launch of this new product, to be helping Mr. David Grotzinger and Susquehanna Service Dogs of Central Pennsylvania. David recently lost his companion service dog to cancer and we are happy to help him get a new companion. LMD is committed to community service and this is just the beginning of our partnership with Susquehanna Service Dogs," added Linda.
The Keares Restaurant Group will be offering Frozen WoofysT at their family of restaurants: Doc Holliday's and Lancaster Brewing Company in Harrisburg and Gibralter and Barnys in Lancaster. In addition to these restaurants, Frozen WoofysT will be available at local veterinarian offices, choice kennels and select pet stores.
